Fees/Services

The Process:

After you and your doula have decided you're a match, arrangements will be made made for two home visits over the course of your pregnancy. These are for the purpose of getting to know one another further, and to work on comfort measures as well as your birth plan. You will have unlimited phone contact with your doula. Feel free to call as questions arrise. You will have an opportunity to meet the back-up doula.

Call your doula when you feel you might be in labor, you will probably be in close contact with her from the time that true labor begins. At some point your doula will come to your home , or meet you at the hospital, depending on which is most appropriate and what your wishes are. She will stay with you for the entire duration of your labor, until your newborn is securely latched to breast, and you are ready to part. Finally, your doula will follow up with a home visit at least once, or more, depending on your post-partum needs.
